A community retreat on a mountain summit
Hosted by the regenerative community of Porto di Terra, located in the Natural Park of Madonie, Sicily, we gathered a group of agents, who previously met during the residency in the desert, to deepen the community connection, and create space for unfolding and adaptation. Wandering through the woods, we asked ourselves “What is sacred? How to create a community? How to find meaning in the desert of meaninglessness?”
We learned how to make bread; mixing ancient grains and kneading the dough we summoned human-octopus tentacles. Integrating the past, and imagining the future, we bathed in the spring waters of the mountain creeks, and ate figs bathed in sun. Walking through the valleys, we heard wild pigs shouting “the path is the answer”.
